AEUGNewtype's
MIDI corner
Another mm-bbs resident - AEUGNewtype has been devoting much of his time on these awesome MIDIs. ASTROBOX took the chance to feature some of his H!P and jpop related ones on our site! You can also go to his own MIDI website where he has alot of his other works there^^
(I quoted these straight from his site so he speaks as 1st person here)
Hello!Project
| Postive |
Positive Genki! from Maki's 3rd station.
|
| Aenai |
"Aenai" Miki's Aenai Nagai Nichiyoubi, it's not completely done yet, but I have about half the song done and it sounds great.
|
| Furusato |
Furosato, done on a music box, I honestly don't know whether to think it's good or bad. I enjoy listening to it, but when I do, I hear all the faults of it but never get around to fixing it.
|
| PureBoy |
The c/w from Do It! Now, not very good really...i was just experimenting, this would be nearly impossible to make sound right in a midi cause of the style of the song.
|
| Shabondama |
Um..it's the beginning of shabondama, and i think it's in the wrong key.
|
| HelloMata |
I dunno if anyone really cares or even remembers what this shuffles song is, but here it is. It's the C/W that is on all the 2001 shuffles CDs, it's like a campfire song with only a few really basic instruments and stuff and them clapping and singing. I always thought it was a cool idea for an H!P song and it turned out pretty cute.
|
| Odoru11 |
Odoru11's 2002 shuffle song, I don't remember the name. The midi is modeled after the PV version and its not done yet.
|
| Telephoneshort |
"Koi no Telephone GOAL" by Nacchi, just the short version that was played with the early release of the PV on television.
|
| ByeBye |
CM's "Bye Bye Saigyou no yoru", it's just the basic structure with main bass melody and vocals
|
| GG |
Maki's "Genshoku GAL" i was just messing with the sounds of it and did it all on piano with the 2 main melodies instead of taking every instrument from it. has a few small mistakes and isn't done.
|
| Natsu |
"Chu! Natsu Party" ,trying to do the original version, but didn't finish it.
|
| NatsuMetal |
"Chu! Natsu Party" metal ver, Just a fanmix type idea i was working on for natsu party.
|
| NatsuSkater |
"Skater's Summer Party Mix", is a fanmix that i got a long time ago and i loved the sound so i tried to throw it all into a midi. (the original fanmix was done by Yamachan, of Petit Remix)
|
| SummerReggae |
"SummerReggae" "Summer Reggae Rainbow", just the very basics of the song until about half way through.
|
| Strawberry |
"Mini. Strawberry Pie", once again as close as I could get it to the original. A MIDImix attempt was done with this too, in our features section
|
| Joshi |
"Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari", 2004 summer MM single. Was more work than it seems, since the song repeats to much, there's still variation between each verse, and there's 14 verses, and i think only 4 or 5 of them are actually the same. I also didnt' include the weird rock organ, it's too much of a pain and not really neccesary.
|
| JankenPyon |
Minimoni Janken Pyon!, i got fed up with finding crappy midis of it on the internet, so i made this as well as i could to stay close to the original. Of course, there's plenty of things in the song that can't be made with midis, like the backup yelling/tsunku part and the spanish counting guy, but oh well. It was fun to make and experiment with some of these instruments i hadn't used much before.
|
| BlueIsland |
Maki's c/w on Yokohama Shinkirou. the beginning guitar part isn't as layered as it is in the real song, and the usual midi quirks and catches apply here.
|
| Saasasoku |
"Saa, Sassoku Moriagete Ikoukaa", The sound of the guitars in the song is quite unattainable with a midi because of the style it's played without sounding retarded, but i did the best to make it sound right, and it shouldn't really be a problem.
|
| Piriri |
"Piriri To Ikou", by Berryz Koubou, full song, sounds really good
|
| Roman |
"Roman ~MY DEAR BOY~", this one can keep you up to date with MM since the album isn't even out yet! or something. the guitars have a louder sound than on the song but it turned out pretty cool.
|
| HappySummer |
"Happy Summer Wedding" by Morning Musume. About half the song is done now and sounding ok.
|
| Sakura Mankai |
Sakura Mankai by Sakuragumi.
|
| Yuujou |
Yuujou~ by Otomegumi, I'm too lazy to write out the full name.
|
| Kiseki |
"Kiseki no Kaori Dance" by Ayaya. It's just once through the main part of the song with crappy drums, just threw it together real fast to see if i could get it to work decently.
|
| Saa! |
"Saa! Koibito ni Norou" from Melon Kinenbi. A lot of the parts were hard to do cause of the weird tribal type drums in the song, but most of that was changed to sound different or skipped.
|
Other J-pop
| CanYouKeep |
Hikki's "Can You Keep a Secret?", but like.. totally not done and with no drum track.
|
| Distance |
Hikki's "Distance" with a classical guitar arrangement and vocals with the synth strings playing the high part.
|
| No. 1 |
"No. 1" by BoA*. Very bad sounding version that only goes through the first chorus.
|
| ShineWeAre |
Finally worked on BoA*'s "Shine We Are," and it sounds pretty good, but only about half way done.
|
| Sobakasu1 |
The one is there cause I have different versions of this. It's Judy and Mary's "Sobakasu," though a very bad one... It's basically just a simple beat and simple chords with the vocals and the first part of the song, but it repeats itself a few times for the final song except for a breakdown about 3/4 through.
|
| KimiSaeIreba |
Love Hina closing theme, but I kinda like to refer to it as Ritsuko's song, cause it's on her album, but anyway, it's a guitar only version of it.
|
DDR
| FrecklesDDR |
The DDR version of "Freckles" by Tiggy. Updated this midi with the vocal track and the beginning and end of the song from the DDR version.
|
| BRU |
This is Be Rock U by Naoki feat. Digicco, it took quite a while, but after hearing how cool Naoki's guitar tone was, I decided to try to get the cool feel of the song in a midi. This is the japanese version of "1998," which is on DDR Extreme.
|
| BreakDown! |
This took me forever cause DDR songs are all so layered, I had to break down (no pun intended) the song, along with the few other DDR songs I've attempted, and figure out which parts are needed for it to sound right. But after all, this is "Break Down!" by BeForU from MAX2, probably my favorite one ever.

Games
| GlooniesElec |
Goonies "R" Good Enough by Mr. T, from Pop'n Music 10. I just did part of it, as another ringtone experiment, and didn't go for the full sound, just the 2 lead sounds.
|
| Starmine |
"Starmine" Ryu's Starmine from IIDX 4th Style. I tried to kinda emulate the Ryu bass thumps by overlaying a few bass-y drum tracks, it didn't work exactly how I wanted, but it serves the purpose.
